Bangor Symphony’s 123rd season begins with the magic and mystery of Leonard Bernstein’s Simple Song sung by Mezzo-Soprano Joëlle Morris, before the piano pyrotechnics of Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G, featuring internationally acclaimed pianist Alon Goldstein in his return to Bangor. The program concludes with Sibelius’s stirring Symphony No. 2.

Following Resinosa’s acclaimed debut season in 2016, the trio is delving into the music of dreams, featuring Maine composers John Newell and Vineet Shende as well as Boston-based composer Scott Wheeler. Brahm’s alto songs for mezzo, piano & cello and selections by Leonard Bernstein and Czech composer Bohuslav Jan Martinů round out the program.
